Having come very close to terminal hypothermia in a recent 4 hour trip along the NE coast in our cherished nordic folkboat, my wife and I are both beginning to think that a little more luxury wouldnt be such a bad thing. Gone are the plans for another classic wooden yacht and instead, after a lot of research, we reckon the LM30 might just tick all the boxes. They look like a proper yacht rather than a scaled down tug and by all accounts sail well too. There's is one for sale very close by which has just been reduced in price. Still a little bit more than our ideal budget but we think we'll go have a look. If we did buy her she would be used mainly for day sailing and the odd weekender but hopefully in the not too distant future we plan to go further afield and she seems well suited to that.
