I knew the moment I saw a 32 I'd be sailing one home, and I knew I had to have a traveler! Thus the Harken Mid-range traveler was purchased and installed while underway from Connecticut to Annapolis. The track is 4 feet long, with a home-made back-up aluminum plate under the roof overhang. The hauling tackles are 3-part, and end at a swiveling cam cleat. The original LM block clipped right to the car. I use this traveler constantly, and being able to pull the boom straight down to flatten the mainsail and change the angle of approach are the main advantages, and works superbly. Excessive heel is easy adjusted as well. Like all boat jewelry Harken is not cheap, you'll put out about $500 to do this, and you'll wonder what took you so long!
