Nice hello from Koper, Slovenia. I own LM 27 and have for many year problem with steering cylinder and pump. When i turn the wheel to the extreme left the cylinder does not work any more and I have to switch bypass to manual navigation. When I sail straight I have to all the time turn the wheel a bit to the right to keep straight. The rudder is not remaining in the straight position. I think my cylinder does not work properly. I think it does not have enough streght.
My question is: what type of steering pump and cylinder is for LM 27? Thanx a lot
The standard, as built, steering system for the lm27 used a Morse teleflex spiral cable which is not hydraulic. This is probably still fitted in your boat as the bypass "manual" sytem that you mention. Your hydraulic system is either a retro fit by a previous owner or perhaps a special factory fit and there is no standard hydraulic kit for the lm27 that I am aware of but other owners may be able to assist.
In particular Jandane may be able to help as this variation may be much more prevalent in Scandinavia or in the Baltic.
Regards
Michael
