Hello
I am very seriously considering buying a 1986 LM 32. I don't have the entire history of the boat but I know it was used in Florida several years ago and has been on the Great Lakes in recent years. I am 70 years old and have owned seven sailboats in my life. The LM seems to be the perfect vessel for me now. I live in Windsor Ontario Canada and the boat is currently in the U.S. on the Great lakes. Due to Covid precautions, I can't cross the border until mid-August. At least this is the government policy at the moment.
This site is very useful for me. Lots of great insight into the boat and the group of very nice people who own them. The LM 32 that I am considering was surveyed in 2019 and was deemed to be in overall "Good" condition. The current owner assures me that he has addressed the issues raised in the survey which was done when he bought the boat. Do to Covid protocols at the Canada/ U.S. border and his urgency to sell the boat, I may have to buy it before I can see it and touch it in person. Not a great position to be in. Based on what I see here on the website, these boat seemed to be much appreciated and loved by current owners. Is this case. Would anyone like to comment? I know they are fairly rare in N.A. I am going to have the boat re-surveyed very soon. Hello LM owners should I take a shot in the dark on this boat, assuming the new survey also finds it to be in "good" condition. Any feed back for the LM community would be very much appreciated.
