Sad news. I've just seen on the YBW forum that this boat was wrecked in shallow water near Vlieland, Netherlands. It is said there was one person on board, of Polish nationality, and as far as I can make out it seems a body has been recovered from the water.
It seems that Dunlin has UK registration, and was previously for sale in Wales.
GOOGLE TRANSLATE OF EARLIER NEWS ITEM: "On the morning of the Vlieeland at Vlieeland, an English 7-yard yacht yacht was turned around. That was seen from the beach by a witness. At least, one accident has come to life in the accident. The victim was brought to Den Helder by the SAR helicopter. Other potential visitors are still looking for. The search includes various emergency services, such as the rescue boats of the KNRM van Texel, Vlieland and Terschelling.
The first announcement arrived at the coastguard at 10:30 on Sunday morning. The report was that a sailing yacht was skipped in the seagate between Texel and Vlieland. The hunt has disappeared underwater in the meanwhile. According to the coast guard, the sea was rough at the time of the accident and the surf was high.
It is not yet clear whether more people were aboard the hunt. The emergency services therefore continue with the search. The Coast Guard also asks the UK authorities."
TRANSLATION OF LATER REPORT BY 'SAGUDAY' ON THE YBW FORUM: "The [Dutch] Coast Guard has terminated the search on the North Sea for sailing yachts at the Vliehors at half past three. Research showed that there was one person on board. (He) has been taken out of the lifeless water by the SAR helicopter. The victim has Polish nationality.
The boat is 7 meters long. It was registered in England. At the time of the accident there was a high wave. The boat hit at 10pm at the Vliehors on Sunday morning. A man on the beach saw that and warned the Coast Guard."
Sad to learn of this accident. I sail at the Waddenzee, near the place of the accident (with a Marieholm 26). The grounds on the seaward side of the islands (Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, Ameland and Rottum in NL and then on in Germany) are locally considered quite dangerous with a SW-NW wind. Heavy ground seas may upturn a boat, as regretfully seems to have happened. It is very well possible to enter into the Wadden system from the North Sea - when the wind is below SW-NW 6 Bft - at Den Helder (between the main land and Texel), between Vlieland and Terschelling and between Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.
