I am well into refurbishment of my LM 28 but finding more and more questions. If anyone can advise on these items I would be grateful.
(1) Does the LM28 have a sub-moulding under the wooden floor or am I looking at the hull. The reason I ask is that when I look at the grp lay up on the bilge keels stubs and under the floor hatch in the forward cabin, the grp matt seems much heavier and sounds more solid.
(2) Is there and drawings or dimensions of the frame used in the standard Shultz canopy. The frame in our LM28 has rusted and buckled so not 100% sure what the verticle length should be.
(3) In our LM28 there is a 150mm flxible ducting which is connected to the side of the engine box (starboard) side near the alternator which runs all the way back to just under the stern deck behind the rudder stock. There is also a similar piece of ducting which runs down from the stern deck to the back end of the engine box just behind the saildrive. Within this second ducting, there are two hoses connected to an anti-siphon device. Is this the normal installation set up or is this previous owner special.
(4) I will need to run new hoses for the toilet to the holding tank but the water tank is partly in the way. My question is, how easy is it to move the water tank aft about 150 mm.
(5) My prop is peeling some of its coating, is it possible for me to clean off the coating where it is loose and recoat or best to send prop to prop company.
(6) Is the prop cone nut on the Bukh saildrive left or right hand thread.
Realy sorry for all these questions but I was not able to meet with previous owner so I am in a rapid learnig phase.
