Original toilet outlet location?

Evening,

I have recently purchased a LM 27 in Greece. The toilet is not original and all the pipe work has been modified to a very poor standard. A new outlet has been drilled high above the waterline and this is not satisfactory.

Has anyone got a photo or information on the original pipe layout and outlet position?

my LM27 has outlet below the sink. If it is the original position I can not tell, but it looks very old. I hav resently installed new toilet, holding tank and piping. I will send you some pictures shortly. Outlet ABOVE waterline? Sounds discusting but practical

Here you see my outlet. It is the 1 ½ " valve. The toilet flushes via the holding tank I have installed below the sink. At open sea it can be emptied via the valve. Also, it can be emptied in harbour via the deck valve. On pic 3 you can see the hose coming from the holding tank, passing through the locker and ends in the deck in a standard suction valve ISO- something approved.

This helps alot and confirms our thoughts. Off to the boat in Greese today to start the toilet rebuild and other jobs.

After a very hot week in Greece we made good progress on our list of jobs. The main aim was to install new skin fittings & seacocks for the new toilet. All went well and we now have a working toilet and sink.

Brass skin fittings with stainless valves

It looks great. Fine job. As the toilet is placed just above the waterline, a anti-suction valve may not be needed even though it is recommended everywhere. On my LM27 I have none installed on the toilet.
Next step is to consider a holding tank. On our we have one and this a great invention. Now we can use the toilet during night in harbours and open the tank when 2 NM from the shore again. Our tank holds 55 Liters and is sufficient for 2 persons
