l'm confused ! When l purchased my LM30 the details gave the draft as 4'9" - fin keel. Some of the earlier details going back 20-30 years state the draft as 4'3" shallow draft. l've also since discovered that the bilge/twin keeled model also has a 4'3" draft.
So the question is did LM build 2 fin keel versions ( as well as the bilge/twin keel version ) - shallow and standard draft ? l only need to know so l can set the keel off set correctly on the depth sounder now that l've got it working correctly !
Doesn't specifically answer your question, but an LM brochure I've found states the LM 30 draft to be '1.5 m deep, 1.3 m shallow'.
It doesn't mention bilge keels. I note that in the same brochure it says of the LM 32 'draft 1.5 m', but elsewhere it states 'shallow draft fin keel 1.35 m'.
My guess is that there were two fin keel versions of different drafts. Which you have, who can tell?!
l'm beginning to think that, in total, three different keel versions of the the LM30 were produced; standard 1.5 m & shallow 1.3 m draft plus a twin/bilge keeler which also appears to have a draft of 1.3 m coincidentally !
l'll have to wait until Windhover is ashore to find out which one l have.
