My LM was recently transported by road from the West Coast of Scotland down to the Clyde and lifted off using a Travelhoist. I was a bit concerned to see that the boatyard team ignored the aft lifting point label on the gunwal fitted by the West Coast Boatyard which was just forward of the small skeg which protects the saildrive. Instead the boatyard team opted to lift the boat with the aft sling between the saildrive and the rudder. Thinking about this I am worried that using this aft point so close to (a) a hole in the hull and (b) very close to the diaphragm is not correct.
Is there a recomendation by LM as to the correct lifting points for the LM28.
