Colne Brook Furler system

Have an Old Colne Brook fuller on my LM30 and it id very stiff to operate I have to unwind / wind it back standing at the foresail. Anyone had similar issues any cleaning / flushing or lubrication i should be doing? Cheers Jon

Note that one of the posts says it is actually spelt 'Colnbrook' which, assuming it's true may help with Googling for more info. (Though many seem to refer to it, like you, as 'Colne Brook', so try that too (though you'll have to, metaphorically speaking, wade through the many English streams with the same name!). Yet others call it 'Colebrook', so another to try. (Presumably the manufacturer didn't stamp their name on the product!)

If none of those help, I suggest you try posting a query on YBW's 'Practical Boat Owner's Reader to Reader' forum. Obviously the members of that forum aren't as refined and with such good taste as those of us here on this LM Owner's forum  , but there's a lot more of them, and some very knowledgeable and helpful people there.
