Well not really but the pictures below do show that you can create a viable cosy settee atop the galley for those longer passages or when the weather turns a bit inclement. It might also be good or those who suffer from sea sickness.

I used 2 cockpit cushions and have made a very simple back rest out of the same headlining material filled with 25mm foam. The " foot rest" fits onto the second draw down which is partially open, ( the runners need beefing up a bit with some additional screws), and there are blocks underneath it with pegs that locate into holes in the side of the drawer when the footrest is slid to the left. This locks the foot rest into position so that the overhanging portion on the left can be used as a step from the cockpit. A wooden hook underneath the footrest also locks the drawer into position.
As in all things in life and especially onboard the LM27, everything is a compromise and you obviously cannot use the galley or open the cupboard whilst this is in place but it takes seconds to arrange and does make a very nice seat from which you have excellent all round vision. I have even tried it on the port tack when the boat is heeled to starboard. I never heel the boat very much beyond about 15 deg but the foot rest makes it secure at this sort of angle. My cook's galley restraint belt could also be used as a safety.
