Do you find the mainsheet traveller position annoying? LM27

Hey!

Sorry, I have not been so active the last while... Glad to see theres some activity around still though The sailing season is about coming up for me here in Norway and I have been out for a couple of short trips, but will be using my LM a lot more during the summer break.

One thing I have not gotten used to in my 3 years of ownership is having the traveller behind the tiller. Admittedly I do have to reduce the length of the mainsheet so theres not so much excess in the way, but how do you guys get along with this setup?

I have always preferred a traveller somewhere in front of the tiller so I can steer and adjust with separate hands and without turning around... Has anyone moved their traveller?

We find it nuisance, ours has a wire strop at the lower end which has on several occasions jammed the tiller. I can't think of a sensible alternative and would be very interested if some one else has a better method.

Hopefully we get some replies... I will try post a pic of mine after the weekend Not sure what you mean by a wire strop at the end, but jamming up the tiller is never good. Post a pic if you can too!
