What sort og stand is best for an LM when shipping on a truck/semi? Of you can post pictures or links of what you have used before or just some general tips that would be great i guesd the mast dhould come down at some point too... is there a certain order this should be done in?
Fairly simple supports work for a 27, but they need to be properly fixed to the trailer. I wouldn't use anything but a professional boat haulage company, who should have to right bits. When ours was moved by road there were 4 adjustable props attached to the trailer to hold the hull in position. The keel sat in a groove on the trailer deck and bore most of the weight. The mast was carried on top of the boat supported in the bow by a simple timber frame across the pulpit, a fender on the wheelhouse roof and a mast support standing up from on the aft deck. All obviously well secured with ratchet straps. I'll try and find a pic to illustrate.
